The emerging trends in Information Technology sector have considerable relevance for countries like India. In a state like Kerala Information Technology enterprises are instrumental in providing a new lease of life for its fading industrial map. generates several new issues for the new generation computer and IT professionals.

Implication for employees/recruits given the sad history of non-IT industry failures in Kerala, the mindset and work culture of IT professionals has to be modulated before they become employees. An IT professional is subsuming, slowly, a set of work values, which has a globalized color to it. The natural tendency on the path of any new employee is to, knowingly or unknowingly, work in the legacy of the existing work culture.

The strengths and weakness of a company’s human resources can have determining effects on the viability of the firm’s strategic options. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the different dimensions of the changing human resource requirements of IT companies. These requirements are emerging out of the factors such as the globalized economic environment, intensified competition between IT companies for performance and output, the often occurring need for change management and similar challenges on time management emerging especially from international projects. The international nature of projects also makes the teams spread in a wide geographic area. Such projects also impact on the nature of work resulting in increased work pressure in companies and on employees.

In some IT companies, absence of a formal performance appraisal system and tough performance standards in work is another challenge flexible work time including rigid work time schedules exist, also has ramifications for employees. Employees have to work continuously and at odd hours, which increase the complexity of human resources management as motivating and rewarding them appropriately becomes challenging.

Another critical aspect is the increasing significance of team and teamwork. New professionals entering IT sector need to refine their capabilities to work in teams, as teams are the hallmark of IT project management. The criticality of teams in work situations, competition inside team, performance affected by inadequate attention to people and teamwork issues are all situations and contexts which the new generation IT professionals have to understand and equip for. Therefore, HR Management of IT companies will have to take adequate mechanisms to recruit professionals who would be compatible and conforming to these work situation requirements.

Therefore, HR department of IT companies have to take care of team building efforts and enhance the quality of teams, performance based promotion system, is becoming very important while attrition – talented employees leaving the company is increasing the headaches of IT enterprises delivering the solution within the specified deadlines, etc. Programmers find it difficult to build relationships. Programmers has been observed to be quick in seeing the project from the user’s point of view, This can end in team failure. There are many cases of this sort.

From what is stated above, it is clear that the human resources management strategies in IT companies are distinct. This is because the work culture and environment of other companies have to be distant from IT companies. Given these specificities and peculiarities in IT enterprises, the personal qualities and traits expected from a professional are distinct and different from the requirements of other enterprises. These being the mandate, software/computer professionals aspiring for first time employment need to condition their mind and work perceptions in such a way that it will be compatible with behavioral expectations of these IT companies in their, rather unique, work environment.

Generally, a child growing in Kerala is unwittingly exposed to certain work related values such as ‘working less and getting the best remuneration’ as good and acceptable. According to these values, deadlines and work pressures are undesirable. Standards of work output are locally defined. In IT companies, such definitions are in the context of an international work environment.

Another important quality required in prospective job seekers in IT industry is ‘tolerance to ambiguity’. Tolerance to ambiguity is a capability to tolerate behavior deviance from collogues and superiors. In the context of Kerala, by social tuning, a young professional do not undergo positive conditioning on this trait because of ‘Kerala psyche’. Coping with ambiguous situations and contexts are, therefore, generally found low among average young professionals teamwork and this quality.

The new work culture of IT companies also rewards the best talents and persons with the best output. Another related dimension is the survival of the fittest in a globalized work culture. The nature of jobs and their duration are also changing. Compared to the past, contract jobs are becoming a thing of the present in most IT companies.

ABSOLUTE OTIOSE SYSTEMS IN NATION

What the blaze is going on in our country? Is this our fate to undergo all these experiments circulate by our government or our responsibility to follow patriotically? How does it affect in our ordinary life and what remedy has to implement on these implicative systems? How to resolve these problems through practical hierarchy?

It is indeed descending frequently in the country with various complicated systems. What we need to think is that our government policies, which have taken up the unfit major rigid rules like wearing helmet and seat belt while we are using vehicles within the city. If we are using either bike or car, we can’t ride or drive as fast as we can, during the hectic traffic blocks and unlimited traffic signals inside the city. Meantime, it is very hard to wear a helmet during the summer season. Due to this unnecessary set of laws, it is very difficult to preserve our gifted hair as long-term duration.  If we forget to bring helmet or put seat belt while we are on the way, definitely we will get a real outcome from traffic police. In fact, Traffic Police will be charging around one hundred to five hundred rupees for the same defaulting. Eventhough, that particular vehicle doesn’t have any clear updated paper, we do not need to pay any other charge whether we don’t have helmet. If people want their life security, they have right to do their own security and they will definitely do proper precaution for that. There is no need to question anyone’s responsible life. And ofcourse, no need to take any action from any department or government, as it concludes the human being’s freedom and peace of mind to live in this nation. Strict rules should definitely be there, but do not insist anyone without getting any proper and prompt upshot. 

Secondly, there is an unwanted rule of banned smoking in public location. Infact, smoking sale and purchase have still been continuing in this nation. It has given a clear picture to become every gentleman to defaulters by using this habit as illegally. They can’t stop immediately. But these kinds of immediate rigid rules make them a real trespasser. Almost people may be stopped smoking infront of a shop, but they are still using these kinds of activities behind the clear white city.

Actually, all these systematic conditions are not only getting any perfect result, but many people have started thinking to resolve such kind of activities appearing in this nation. Great policy maker may not think simple things, but these causes to increase the useless promotions of government systems and provoke people to bring out their abdicable questions. Almost all systems are simply followed by the people, but generating new policies may take time to absorb and apply on every individual life cycle. Coach should be a very good Leader for organizing training, match day activities. Coach should be a very good Psychologist for dealing with various individual’s need and team. Coach should be a very good Manager for dealing with a wide range of players, officials and supporters. Coach should be a very good Sports supporter for developing fitness programs, injury prevention, care and management. Coach should be a very good Selector for selecting the team to best represent the club. Coach should be a very good Student for seeking continually to upgrade his knowledge of the game. Coach should be a very good Public Relations Expert for representing the club at official functions and community activities. Furthermore, there are some fundamental qualities of a coach viz; respect the individual, should have professionalism, capabilities to keep goal setting, using assistants, should have virtual planning for the preparation of innovative sessions, responsible for safety & fitness, should keep communication with learners, should have player discipline, should have potentialities for developing team spirit, should have ability to praising players’ responsibilities and skills, and capability to sustain team plan etc.. Moreover, a coach should summaries key points learnt from the exercise and encourage further practice.

It is a rhythm of coach that he never ever be a negative character or possessing discouraging attitude. Normal theory is that a coach should merely love the game and his players. It is not in a way of compelling students to improve their game and spirit. Real coach should express his views and skills and convert it into the mind of his/her students. Never ever use any abusing language in front of any learners, never demoralize any learner and do not create any misbehaving situations. Praise well, treat well and love them always, so that he could create a quality sportsman or a sportswoman.

Action Plan!

What will we do in the next three months?

We will see once again below that we have filled in and how some of the strategic plan might build as we add our action plan. In reality, each Issue could have multiple strategies - each of which could have multiple actions assigned to them. By this point, we should be left with a larger list of things to do that we need to priorities for and then begin to work through. Once again these actions should be broken down into small enough parts so as not to overwhelm we. We should always concentrate our usual clients and through the same link, we could reach the new link of clients. Our capabilities have taken place the higher position in the market and the same should improve with professional quality and vision. Normal progression of the work schedule has to be revised and it may revamp through the professional positive approach. General interrogations are always been in a competitive market, but overwhelming the struggle is obviously challengeable. We must concentrate and complete the target within 15 days in advance so that the company could earn the profit from next 15 days. This may be directed through the whole team and moreover, we should make it as a habit as well as take it as a challenge. We could attain the top of the profitable track if both plan and action should come together in a parallel way. Emerging trends in managing people has been rising in this new era and it may be implicated in the day-to-day life cycle. But there would be some usual questions and arguments between each action and plan both from mind and surroundings. What we plan and act is an ultimate aspect, which would probably getting done by the team indirectly. This type of action may result the derivation of futility. It also provokes to build up the negative mindset and putting unnecessary pressure between team members. To avoid all the above matters, the fundamental aspect in the action plan is communication and management. Proper direction should always be very clear and prompt, and then the outcome of the action would be perfect and meaningful. Each managers and executives have to introspect their ability and action so that every team could maintain the parallelism in company. So think positively and then begin to resolve the professional challenges with our genuine action plan and decision.

Emergence of Internet!

Internet has been always an oasis for me! It was something I could splurge into, when ever I felt my life was in shambles! When ever I felt that my life had no veneers, no aims, no vision I sued to log on to internet and see the vast plethora of information that was available at my fingertips.

Now, now I am seeing a sea change in the usage of the web. The ignorant end users like me, who could only see the end result of web sites developed by some techie soul has been open to me. I can express my dreams, my expectations, my experience and my feelings. Suddenly the internet was about ME! About the ignorant, non-existent soul who was always looking at some other person’s creation.

Now, I had the power, I had the power to change the content. I had the power to express my feelings and my expectations. I had the power to tell others how I feel, I had the strength to shout to the world about my way of thinking.

That was the stuff I was looking for. Internet was never a profession to me. I was always an end user, for whom internet was just a sort of entertainment, a time pass and a source of information. It was never a medium to express myself!

Web 2.0 has given me an opportunity to stand on my own legs. To express my views. To tell this world how I feel. To tell to myself what I am, what I can do.

From an internal network distribute documents inside a university the internet had grown to a web that helped the military brass to transmit the commands and the information. Still it meant nothing to me. Then it became something of an information supermarket where I could visit and get the things I saw, the stuff I saw there, the products some one offered me.

The Web 2.0 is a sort of world market where I am the Customer who is the king, I am asking what I want. I am no longer satisfied with what I get from those vendors. I want something specific and I DO have the voice to ask for what I want. That is what the Web has given me; my identity, my soul, my individuality which was always hidden inside me, the redundant stuff which was suppressed by the dominant traders who was in charge of the brigade.

Now its my hunting ground, the ball is in my court; I HAVE the power to ask what I really want, what I really need; I can express what I really feel, what I want to tell this world! Suddenly I am also SOMEONE of substance; some one who has got the soul! Someone who has got the integrity and individuality to express myself.

And that’s what the web 2.0 gave me! It has given me back myself. It has given me back my pride; my views; my point of view; my perception! AND I MEANS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US! We have got the power! NOW its up to us to decide how we want to use this power! When the super heroes got the POWER they used it to transform the world! So WE have to decide. How do we want to bring up on a change in this world. How we want to shape up the next generation, the world where our children are going to live!

Stand up and Say what you feel, because WHAT YOU SAY MATTERS!

ESSENCE OF SOLITUDE

WHAT is Solitude? Is this distressing enormously in our life? What we need is time, when we get sufficient time, while we are not actively engaged with any matters; we feel the essence of solitude. By and large, it is appearing in our life, which is focusing on the endurance of a human being. It may drive us to lead a detesting lifestyle. But this is what happening in our great life.

When we take a look on our personal life with family, we feel the rhythm of life, real taste of life, extreme beauty of life. It is merely a division of life, which will bring the nostalgic feeling at the end. It is the manifestation of life, which highlights the outcome of an individual. It will take us into the past and convert into an inactive mind. Probably we love to think like that, but it is an achievement of high seclusion.

Similarly, on the other hand, our quick lifestyle is contributing much happiness and ecstatic events. It combines the value of responsible and professional life. It may help us to attain many challenging goals and merely bring us to the heart of world. We could reach many success ladders too. It could reveal our capabilities and limitations. What we need, where we go, all are getting through this professional life, but sometimes it may not give even enough time to think. But we can earn plenty of money through this professional life, we can reach anywhere in this universe, we can do anything what we need to do. We can also go for our wishes with pleasure.

Of course, we need both money and family, especially parents for our prosperous life to flourish. Generally, after academic career, we reach the place where we start our professional career. It may probably faraway from our parents or family, but we start our satisfied life with plenty of earnings. One thing we have to think that our parents or family have started their detesting life, they feel the taste of solitude, and probably we may not realize that from them. But REMEMBER, this kind of process will start again in future also. This would be the acknowledgement of our seclusion with resignation. SO JUST THINK ONE MINUTE, Genuinely, without time life is absolutely meaningless! Isn’t it?

Natural dissatisfaction of all mankind isn’t peculiar to anyone. But the social calamities have caused to the typical life in this universe, which always bring the vision of grief. People who try to act for their own perspective, it may result beyond its perfection and their perception. All the fundamental objects are under the control of its destiny. But some people are directly passing through the routine matter without thinking of destiny and they may even try an unnecessary attempt for their ardent aspiration. This aspiration causes them to attain the futile outcome and realize the real taste of destiny.

Even though people are very sophisticated with their different lifestyle, they need more and more to flourish their life. This aspiration has never gained much in the history, although this way of culture is leading only in normal life. There are many miraculous people who have already succeeded with the help of their surpassing ambition. Life is just like a miraculous destiny, which never gives in for anything. As we aware that our life is a mixture of incredible fortune and frightening destiny. Whichever occurrence gone through our life is not a matter to build up more ambitious things. History might be drawn the melancholic experiences in each life, but people would hunt their new endeavor at the end. Moreover their ambition may become unlimited or unrestrained with optimistic approach. Pursuit of these multiple dimensions is the commencement of new miraculous destiny. Confident makes things better and differently, but instead unfortunate outcome may also appear in every life.
